About Dr. Donar

Dr. Arlene B. Donar graduated summa cum laude with a doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of only four accredited universities in North America. She is board certified and licensed as a Naturopathic Physician in Connecticut.

Dr. Donar also holds a Master of Arts degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She has worked as both a private consultant and as an adjunct professor in the Speech Communications Department of Pace University in Manhattan.

As a Naturopathic student she studied at both the Lukas Klinik and Ita Wegman Klinik in Switzerland. There she assisted Anthroposophical physicians treating patients with cancers and other chronic and acute conditions using herbal and homeopathic therapies including European Mistletoe also known as Iscador. Dr. Donar completed an externship at the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in NY working with Allopathic Physicians who specialize in HIV+/AIDS health care.

Dr. Donar is the former Medical Director of the supplement manufacturer, Heartguardian located in Princeton, NJ. Heartguardian was formed in 2004 to manufacture and distribute products and information designed to promote cardiac health naturally. In her role as Chief Medical Director, Dr. Donar specifically oversaw a new program called "CholesterolWatchers" where she developed and supervised programs which included supplementation, diet, exercise and lifestyle management directly targeting cardiovascular health.

She works primarily with clients with chronic health conditions and lectures locally on prevention and treatment of disease using botanical medicine and clinical nutrition.
